A Very Kerbey Friday

My holiday has officially started and I’m ready for it!

Thursday – over to Shane and Monika’s for a Thanksgiving feast! I’ll be making Pumpkin Gnocchi and Panettone Dressing. Everything’s bought and the pannettone bread is in the oven baking as we speak.

Friday – This is a key day. It’s my laziest of all days this weekend. I’m forgoing the 5am shopping madness and waking up when I want to. I throw on my new robe (how I’ve missed one), and start a walk down Memory (a.k.a. Kerbey) Lane. First off, there will be over sized pancakes stacked high, and then for lunch will be my take on Kerbey Queso (w/ guacamole), and after I’m done with that some Mag Mud!

Saturday/Sunday – Sleep!

Cardamom Carrot Cake

Major thanks to Chef Roben for being my sous-chef and teaching me how to make caramelized sugar!

The finished product (still needs more walnuts but I’ll do that later):

A real recipe manager

I’ve started collecting all my recipes into a physical folder so I can be more organized. I found myself researching online solutions that might placate my needs, but couldn’t find anything. I’ve decided to write my own product to handle my needs. In the meantime, I’m going back to handwritten notes in a folder to collect my recipes and I’ll move them over later.

Here’s a form I’m putting together to collect other people’s ideas for an ideal recipe manager.
