I couldn’t sleep one night and started writing a new song. Here’s the beginning:

I play Derek
Taruna’s throwing a murder mystery party next week, and I am playing the role of Derek:
“Muffy’s husband. He thinks he’s a real man’s man — tough, confident, and athletic. That was real attractive to Muffy 20 years ago, but now all she wants is for the lazy bum to get a job. Derek spends a lot of time hearing himself talk, and not much else. But he isn’t as dumb as he looks: he knows his wife is up to something sneaky.”
Hmmm what shall become of me….
My iTunes Library (revisited)
So I realized something – my original iTunes library didn’t have all the songs in my Music folder. When I first setup iTunes I hand picked songs from the Music folder to add to the library. Upon rebuilding my library I just dumped the entire Music folder since it had quintupled in size since I got this machine. Now I find myself listening to music given to me by others that I hadn’t added to my iTunes library.
Thanks to Alia I’m currently listening to Hollaback Girl.

Bittersweet…
Last night I was listening to my music when I realized that a lot of the songs in my library were not playing. Over half of my music had been corrupted! Luckily it was only the library that was corrupted, and my music remained safe on my computer. I had to wipe out the library and rebuild. The bittersweet moment arrived when I realized with the new library, iTunes no longer remembered my most played songs and everything iTunes had learned about my taste in music had been wiped out.
iTunes started playing songs that I hadn’t heard in ages. At first, the songs were songs I had specifically chosen not to listen to in ages since it wasn’t to my liking, but then songs started to come out of the woodworks that I had totally forgotten about. I realized this was a chance to re-teach iTunes and have an opportunity to rediscover music that was already sitting on my computer!
Bittersweet…
Less than 24 hours…
till my first time hosting a wine tasting! It’s going to be a great turnout as well! I’ve made the scorecards and created a playlist for the night. I have the wines, but will stock up tomorrow just in case. I need to stop by the grocery store as well tomorrow to get some fruits, cheeses, and crackers.
Thanks to Nico for double checking my planning so I don’t goof.
